I have bought this caraffe many years ago in Germany and got many compliments for how cute it looks and how convenient it is. Hence I ordered one as a present for my best friend here in the States.
Be careful if you unscrew the unit because i did that while i was cleaning mine and the glass fell out onto the floor and shattered in a million pieces.
The glass is not attached to the carafe.
This carafe gets plenty of attention and compliments from guests and, since I keep it on my counter all morning, I'm very pleased that it looks great. It keeps my coffee hot, as intended, but the only caveat is that, because it's rounded, you have to be careful to drain it well by almost holding it upside down when pouring and when cleaning.
